My 3rd car accident

I was going to a barbecue in the countryside with four, out of my six brothers and sisters.

Since my 1st and 2nd car accident little fright, I got some few lessons from my older brother and had enough self-confidence to ask him to take the wheel myself.

It was a perfect clear day, in a deserted and dusty countryside road, and it seemed like a perfect opportunity for me to practice my driving skills.

That time, in which I almost erased half of my family off the face of the earth, left me with a reputation that still haunts me…

  1. Oh my, what a scenario! I couldn’t imagine how bad it was at first because of how good your illustration is. But after I realized what happened in the end, I suddenly thought of how your brothers and sisters felt after the whole thing. All of you must have had mixed emotions back then, but I know you were all grateful at the end of the day. Lesson learned: You should focus more on the road next time.

  2. Thank you. Actually this accident was a big family trauma, and I'm still banned of driving in any family event...and I also can tell you the lesson was not well learned at all, since I had a couple more (attempt of) accidents after that. I'll make a post about it in the future

  3. I like your cartoons, you’re a natural artist! :) Anyway, you and your siblings are safe despite it all. After going through a couple of car accidents, take note of even the most little detail in safe driving. It’s true, we learn from our mistakes. You’re getting there. Good luck!

  4. Thank you Javier, and wellcome to my blog.
I don't mistake the brake with the gas anymore, although I still have some problems with left and right : (

  5. That was a very good depiction of what happened. I think it is hilarious and scary at the same time. I’m totally hooked with your story! And Javier is right. Driving is all about focus and attention. Paying attention to little details can help you drive safely and responsibly. In regards to the left-right issue, I think practice will make it perfect. Don’t worry; you will get the hang of it soon! Drive safely!

  6. I don’t know why, but I feel compelled to tell you that I also have the same problems when I was still a beginner in driving. Every stop and every corner I had to slow down, like really slow down, and motion which is left and right with my hands. But in time, I mastered it like the back of my hand. Though driving is not some light past time. So, always have someone older with you when practicing your driving skills. You’ll get better!

  8. I think the best thing you could do is to practice your driving skills with an expert. He can really help you to become a good, reliable driver. You shouldn’t just drive like that, especially when you have your loved ones with you. It’d be really awful if the whole family got into an accident.
